“Finally, time to buy strawberries again!” – we hear it every season
Strawberry time at WERNER – summer can come! Thanks to our film-covering technique, this healthy treat ripens earlier here, so we can offer it to you from early May.
Alongside our tried-and-tested film-covering technique, we also rely on a large, modern greenhouse, which, incidentally, is partly heated with waste heat from a neighbouring biogas plant. Ventilation and irrigation are automated and tailored exactly to what the plants actually need. Thanks to the sensor technology, this saves resources in many ways. Above all, this is what allows us to offer you fresh, fruity strawberries so early – from May – and even into November.
Quality
The best selection of strawberries – just for you!
The careful selection of our varieties is the reason we can guarantee you the best quality at all times – whether for your favourite dessert, a classic Sunday cake or your stock of homemade jam. Careful tending of the plants and the highest standards for the aroma and quality of our strawberries guarantee a real taste experience for you and sustainability for the environment.
Our strawberry quality promise to you
Control is good, trust is better. We think so – and we take care of both. We trust in our sustainable and regional way of working, which is at the heart of who we are and of our fruit and vegetables. And we check every strawberry, as well as every vegetable, individually for you at harvest.

Our top tip for storing, buying and preparing:
If you want to buy sweet strawberries, buy them in season. Once your strawberries are in your basket, feel free to enjoy them quickly. Cold, moisture and pressure harm strawberries – and they taste best fresh. In the fridge, they keep for 1 to 2 days.
